Chief Production Strategist

Samaco Films is excited to appoint producer Davie Cabral as Chief Production Strategist.

Davie is an independent film producer, supervising producer, and production strategist specializing in helping filmmakers maximize production value through thoughtful planning, efficient resource allocation, and practical production strategies. With experience spanning development, budgeting, production, post-production, and distribution preparation, she works closely with filmmakers to align creative ambitions with real-world production realities.

Most recently, Davie served as Supervising Producer on the feature film Tuesday's Flu, directed by Daniel Roebuck and starring Ross Marquand, Jackie Earle Haley, Jon Gries, and Tony Todd. Her work focused on supporting the production process and helping position the project for successful completion and market readiness.

As a consulting producer, she works with independent filmmakers to evaluate projects, strengthen production plans, and maximize the impact of available resources. Her focus is on helping productions align creative goals with practical execution through budgeting strategy, scheduling, production planning, script assessment, and workflow optimization. She is particularly skilled at identifying opportunities to extend production value through grants, tax incentives, partnerships, in-kind support, and other production resources that help filmmakers accomplish more with the budgets they already have.

In addition to her narrative film work, Davie has contributed to nonprofit and mission-driven film initiatives, supporting projects designed to educate, inspire, and create meaningful social impact. This experience has given her a unique understanding of how to balance creative storytelling, community engagement, and responsible stewardship of limited resources.
